Our team worked with the events team at Allen and Overy, creating a secure branded portal that integrated with our Symphony event management software to simplify the process of publishing and marketing seminars and taking registrations.

Consolidating event management into one digital platform

Law firms are moving away from the traditional reactive services where they only speak with clients when there is a problem.

Allen & Overy run a series of seminars and events for clients and prospective clients, each attended by several hundred people. The attendees can get the full benefit of seeing Allen & Overy in action and then meet with the Lawyers over coffee.

The seminar series has been very successful, but the administration became very expensive in staffing, time and accuracy. They wanted to consolidate the management through one digital system, taking the series online in a branded and secure way.

Creating an exclusive, members only seminar portal

Quba worked with Allen & Overy to create a secure branded portal that integrated with our Symphony Event Management software to manage publishing events and taking registrations.

An important part of the seminar series is their exclusivity. They created an invitation member-only group that had access to both the live and recorded seminars. Attendees go through a vetting process to be registered as a member. 

Tailored event communications

The portal provides information about the seminar programme and the speakers. Access to the detailed information and registering for attendance is managed via a members only secure area.

The initial registration process captures the member's areas of interest so tailored event content is sent to them.

The system manages the delivery of email invitations and newsletters with links to registration forms and more targeted subject matter. The newsletter is dynamically created from the list of scheduled seminars of interest to each attendee based on various criteria, including previous seminars.


Our solution has created huge efficiencies, dramatically reducing the administrative load. The Allen & Overy team can create and schedule seminars and publicity material with ease.

The UK based seminar series is now available to a global audience using the platform dramatically extening the reach and return on investment.
