Support & improvement of a complex Kentico platform

T.C. Harrison Ford (TCH) is a large Ford dealership group with showrooms across the Midlands.   

The digital team at TCH felt restricted by their industry standard car dealer website, so the decision was made to rebuild on Kentico's EMS platform. The implementation was fraught with problems and they approached us to rescue the project and move the new website forward.

Client background

More people than ever are using the internet to research the car they want to buy before they visit a showroom. A TCH felt constrained by their out-of-the-box car dealer platform.  

Kentico EMS provided the flexibility to build a website that would stand out from the crowd and enable integration with their dealer management system, servicing department, finance systems and sales platforms such as Auto Trader, as well as showcase their extensive range of new and used cars.  

Onboarding the client

Our technical team conducted an in-depth code audit of the site and wrote a detailed report highlighting issues that needed immediate attention.

We ran a Discovery workshop with the wider TCH team enabling us to really understand the business, their customers and how the website can support both the sales and service teams.  

TCH signed on to our Quba Care support service, then we set to work on a backlog of tasks and issues carried over from the previous agency. They also subscribed to our 24/7 service, ensuring 99.8% uptime.

Making improvements that made an immediate difference

An area that needed urgent attention was used cars which is a key revenue stream for the business. There were outstanding issues with the search and filter functionality and the showcasing of vehicles within the results that hadn’t been resolved since launch. Browsing cars, finding the perfect one and getting in touch with TCH is now easier than before. 

Building out a roadmap

It’s easy with a complex site such as tch.co.uk to get bogged down in the day-to-day management of its systems and integrations, but working closely with the TCH team we’ve created a roadmap and strategy for larger improvement work, tackled according to business need. 

Projects such as getting the dealership’s new car stock loaded onto the website and building an informative area around Ford’s electric vehicle ranges were identified as priorities. 

It's good to see we are in safe hands. Finding a quality web agency isn't difficult, but finding a quality web agency who continue to push themselves so they can push their clients that little more almost certainly is.
