Supporting the launch of a national dental brand

Colosseum Dental is Europe’s fastest growing dental group. Having acquired 70 independent practices across the UK they needed to consolidate them all into the Colosseum brand. 

A new website was a vital part of the official UK launch, targeting both existing and new patients as well as dental practices representing potential acquisitions for the group.

Creating a new, vibrant dental brand

Colosseum Dental is part of the Jacobs Foundation, one of the world’s leading charitable organisations. 
The foundation has an extensive portfolio of dental practices throughout Northern Europe and wanted to establish a presence in the UK. Their vision was to create a new, vibrant brand offering a trusted and reliable service to thousands of patients. 

The digital challenge was the transition from multiple individual websites across to a single platform that would capture the brand and values of the group reflecting the look and feel of the newly fitted surgeries.

Defining key journeys using process mapping

An intensive Discovery process was crucial as this was a completely new web presence with no existing marketing and sales strategy to learn from.  

A key part of the discovery was understanding the many and varied audience personas and how the website would service their needs. We identified seven personas in total ranging from existing and new NHS patients to aesthetic customers, staff recruitment and potential new practices for acquisition.  

For each persona we carried out research with key stakeholders to build out process maps detailing their journey offline right through to completing an action on the website. 

Getting the design ‘on brand’

Capturing the brand feel in the design was vital. Colosseum were launching a completely new look to their dental practices and this needed to continue through to the online experience. 

Our design team worked closely with the content team at Colosseum to ensure that the website messaging reflected the brand: clean, concise and professional.
