We asked our latest recruit some questions to get to know her a little better, here’s what she had to say.
1. What is your role as a new Quban?
I’ve joined Quba as an Account Manager, so I’ll be looking after all of Quba’s lovely customers! I’ll be the first point of contact for those who are on the Quba Care support retainer, ensuring that all design and development requests are booked in and completed by the studio team. You’ll also see me around during the project phase where I’ll be a day-to-day contact for project related comms.
2. What has stood out to you about Quba so far?
Aside from the obvious breadth of skillset and technical talent within the agency, the main thing that has stood out to me was the amazing office space that Quba work within. The renovated Victorian school building is so impressive and makes for a great creative environment that is an absolute delight to work in every day! I was also more impressed than I probably should have been with the ‘bring your dog to work’ policy and monthly pizza and pool socials (given I don’t even own a dog and I can’t play pool), but it’s the small things like these that really add to the ace vibe at Quba and make it a great place to work.
3. What are you excited about doing at Quba?
I’m excited to work with my new clients, London Luton Airport, Priory Group and Ideal Standard to name a few, and getting more involved with projects. Also looking forward to getting to know everyone at Quba and attending some of these infamous pizza and pool nights!
4. How would you describe yourself in three words?
Organised, petite, tattooed!
5. Tell us something we don’t know about you.
Amy Winehouse once complimented me on my top (a neon spray painted thing which I had made myself) and my earrings (a pair of chavvy massive gold hoops). She clearly had a very good eye for style.
6. What would you say is your biggest achievement?
Passing my driving test on the 7th attempt! After 6 consecutive fails I genuinely thought I was going to be a learner forever. The level of sheer joy I felt at passing on the 7th go will never be beaten.
7. What’s your favourite kind of music?
I love music so it’s impossible to pinpoint one genre! But I’ve been listening to a lot of Bicep, Glass Animals, Methyl Ethel, Nadia Rose and Skepta recently.
