After pitching against some of the UK's biggest indies, True North and Quba have won the tender for a new high-profile 24-part series to replace religious show Heaven and Earth on BBC One.

Director Darren Bristow commented "It is really exciting to be involved in this project and we all can't wait for it to go into production. It is a great achievement for both companies and more importantly the Yorkshire region. I look forward to working with the True North team on this and many other projects in the future."

Life from the Loft (working title) is True North's first live production and is an exciting new format that will broadcast live every week from a loft apartment near Bradford.

The intelligent, headline grabbing series will take the defining issues of our age including faith, spirituality and morality and make them appealing and accessible.

The series will also have an extensive multi platform presence developed by Quba that's designed to give viewers the chance to get involved in the show throughout the week.

Life from the Loft will go into production in early 2008 and begin transmitting in the spring.
