The Company
As part of the company's expansion we require an experienced Senior Developer to
join our expanding technical team. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful
candidate to play a key role in the future development of both the technical team
and the company. Working closely with project managers, our clients, and the technical
team - this role will entail the management and implementation of a range of technical/development
requirements from initial system specification right through to final deployment.
The Benefits
You should be educated to a relevant degree level and have hands-on commercial experience
in web development and have an excellent working knowledge of the core web development
languages and associated technologies. In addition to this, experience in the all
aspects of the project lifecycle is essential (Analysis, Design, Testing and Implementation).
You will have proven experience of working with account and project managers to
design and specify solutions based on client requirements. As a senior member of
the team it is expected that you will have worked in previous team leading roles
and have excellent communication, leadership and client facing skills
Requirements
- Strong development experience in ASP / .NET 2.0 / C#
- Knowledge of database design (SQL server)
- Familiarity with web services, XML and JavaScript
- Able to write accessible, semantic, and standards compliant XHTML and CSS
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- A high level understanding of build techniques / standards and compliance / accessibility
issues.
- Experience in system design / specification, including the creation of associated
documentation.
- Ability to mentor junior members of the team.
- Be comfortable in client facing situations
Desirable Skills
- A knowledge of Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server
- Experience in other web development languages (e.g. PHP)
- Understanding of AJAX technologies
- Familiarity with JavaScript libraries such as Prototype, Scriptaculous etc.
