Symphony is a specialist online event management division
within Quba. And it's a good job because this was a specialist job. Our dedicated
team soon set to work designing a system that worked for the delegates and for the
university.
For the delegates we created a system that allowed registered users to see at a
glance which events were full. They could even add themselves to a waiting list
in case a place became available. We made booking and paying easy and even included
little extras like e-tickets that could be personalised to create a printable agenda
for the event.
But it's not just the delegates who benefited. By using Symphony's market-leading
event management software, Oxford University were able to view and report on the
status if their event in real time. And just for the record, the system collected
£35k in ticket revenue form 757 attendees. Not bad for two weeks work.
