KnowledgeRICH was set up by Yorkshire Forward to help put businesses in contact
with experts, like local universities, who could help with research, development
and innovation. Think of it as a bit like a dating service. They needed a site to
communicate this complex proposition, they needed to engage with the business community
and most of all they needed inspiration.
To help them move forward we all took a step back. Through a series of scoping sessions
we identified the fundamental requirements for both the client and the audience.
What we found out was gold dust. Now positioned as an inspirational portal packed
full of news, features and events, we created a site that bridged the gap between
business and academics. Smart search engine optimisation and clear signposting saw
record numbers of visitors and more enquires.
But we can't take all the credit. Through some of our contacts we managed to entice
personalities such as Patrick Stewart, Greg Dyke and Doug Richards (Dragons Den)
to feature on the website too.
