Rachel - Account Executive (Left), Greta - Graduate Developer (Right)
What is your role as a new Quban?
Rachel - I'm a Digital Account Executive. I help manage the Quba Care service, so I'm the first port of call for any technical or support queries our clients might have. I also ensure smaller projects are completed on time and support the Account Manager with key accounts here at Quba.
Greta - Graduate Developer, I help implement new features and maintain our client's websites.
What has stood out to you about Quba so far?
Rachel - The atmosphere in the office stood out to me straight away - it's really positive. The Quba team is close-knit and made up of some incredibly talented and supportive people. I also enjoy working in the building itself - it's a really interesting and inspiring space, and you can't beat having an office dog!
Greta - The openness and friendliness of everyone that works here. I like that I can always have a chat with anyone and learn something new.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Rachel - Friendly, curious and meticulous.
Greta - Open, laughing, and adventurous.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Rachel - I like to draw and sometimes experiment with creating digital artwork in Photoshop. I also enjoy going on walks, playing RPGs, and trying out local pubs and restaurants.
Greta - Whenever I have a spare moment, I love to read books, watch movies based on true stories, and binge-watch whatever new shows that have become popular.
What’s your favourite kind of music?
Rachel - I like most kinds of music, but my favourites are classic rock and 80s stuff. When I'm working I prefer to listen to instrumentals, especially from film and video game soundtracks.
Greta - When I was a kid, I listened to ABBA and Metallica so I grew up to enjoy many genres. But at the moment, I mostly listen to indie rock and electronic music. My current favourite album is by Daft Punk - Alive 2007.
Tell us something we don't know about yourself?
Rachel - I love animals and although I don't have any pets at the moment, I'm always happy to pet-sit for friends. I've looked after a whole menagerie before - from the usual dogs, cats and hamsters to the more exotic like degus and geckos!
Greta - I have met the real Santa Claus in Lapland, Finland a few years back. It was during the summer, but he was dedicated to wearing his signature coat in scorching heat. Also, reindeers.
