The Company

Quba is a mid-size, technology and design agency based in Sheffield. Our sweet spot is a combination of marketing and technical delivery. The Vacancy

We are looking for a Marketing Executive to work alongside our Marketing Director to help create awareness of Quba and further develop and implement our marketing strategy, leading to generation of new business opportunities.

We’re looking for someone ambitious who can see the potential in the role, who has a proven track record in marketing. We’re inviting applications from candidates who have 2+ years' commercial experience, preferably in an agency environment or related sector.

The Department

The marketing team is led by our Marketing Director and supported by a mixture of specialists across the business including design and development, senior management and freelancers.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Working closely with our Marketing Director you will be responsible for:

  • Researching and managing the creation of our marketing material, working with the team and ensuring that quality content is created that aligns to our marketing objectives. These include: case studies, blogs, guides, podcast, white papers and ensuring that the maximum marketing return is gained from this material
  • Develop and maintain the agency’s social media presence against set performance targets
  • Ensuring the consistent execution of the brand, both internally and externally
  • Managing an email campaign schedule. Preparing, sending and reporting on email campaigns
  • Working with our PR consultant to assist in preparing regular press releases
  • Ensuring the Quba website is up to date, including the blog, the production of relevant and interesting articles.
  • Managing our marketing automation and email tool (Kentico EMS). Ensuring it is optimised to run campaigns and provide reporting on marketing activities and visitor behaviours.

The right candidate will:

  • Be able to prove they have strong writing skills and the ability to think ‘creatively’ about content generation and marketing ideas
  • Have experience and a passion for executing social media activity through a number of channels, preferably in a professional capacity
  • Have a degree, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
  • Be 'out going' and able to engage with the wider agency team to support in the creation of content for the website and wider marketing activity including blog posts, press releases, marketing emails, guides and white papers
  • Have experience of working with CMS’s and email delivery systems

Nice to have's:

  • Be familiar with using the latest marketing technologies such as CRM’s.
